Go with what you know, it the basis for every professional opinion on skin care even though many professionals disagree on other aspects. That may sound like common sense, and it is to a degree, but there are people who fall for slick marketing and glitzy packaging. It's a bad idea to skip around where your skin is concerned. Don't fix it if it isn't broken, use what you know works.

When you wash your face in the morning, all you really need to do is apply slightly warm water. We suggest washing your hands first before washing your face. This morning wash will remove oils as well as night creams. Be careful not to over cleanse your face with cleansers. You won't need to apply moisturizer if your skin tends to be oily but if it is normally dry try using a moisturizer after cleansing.

The tap water in US homes typically contains chemicals that are harsh on your skin such as chlorine and fluoride so it's best not to use it for face washing. If possible, use filtered water that you can put in a wash basin to splash onto your face. Avoiding tap waters chlorine base will help keep your skin from drying out or irritating. Avoiding alcohol based products is a good idea.

It doesn't matter what kind of skin you have, you can do all sorts of things to make your skin look, feel and behave better. Your best option is to learn everything you can from a good source and then use that knowledge to find what works for you and keep doing it.
